Jerusalem Cross Five‑Fold Cross of Christ

A historic and deeply symbolic depiction of the Jerusalem Cross, one of the most recognizable emblems of Christianity. According to authoritative sources, the design consists of a large central cross potent surrounded by four smaller Greek crosses, one in each quadrant. This five‑fold structure has been interpreted in several complementary ways: Christ at the center with the Four Evangelists around Him. The spread of the Gospel to the four corners of the Earth. Historically, the Jerusalem Cross became the coat of arms of the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem after 1099. Its heraldic form—argent with a gold cross potent and four crosslets—even breaks the traditional rule of “no metal on metal,” emphasizing the exceptional dignity of Jerusalem. Today, the symbol is used by the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, appears in Christian liturgy and pilgrimage contexts, and remains a powerful emblem of faith, mission, and the universal message of the Gospel. Ideal for heraldic art, pilgrimage designs, sacred décor, educational materials, and products celebrating Christian history.
