Jesus Instituting Holy Communion (SAU 045) Standing Photo Sculpture

In this splendid cutout, Jesus, clad in an eye-catching, soft red garment, is depicted as if distributing Holy Communion. In point of fact, He has just instituted the sacrament at the Last Supper with His apostles on Maundy or Holy Thursday as evidenced by the way He lifts his eyes to heaven and raises his right hand in blessing. He holds up the newly consecrated Eucharistic bread, a large white host, in his left hand.
