Kandinsky Farbstudie Quadrate Colourful Squares Planner

Wassily Kandinsky’s Colour Study – Squares with Concentric Circles (1913) is a pioneering work in abstract art, showcasing his innovative use of colour and form. In this painting, Kandinsky creates a series of concentric circles in various colours, arranged within squares. The work plays with the relationship between geometric shapes and the vibrancy of colour, with each circle and square radiating a unique energy. The use of bright, contrasting colours such as red, blue, yellow, and green generates a dynamic visual experience, inviting the viewer to explore the emotional resonance of each colour. Kandinsky’s composition emphasises the emotional power of colour and its ability to transcend representation, making the work a significant step in the evolution of abstract art.
