Koala, Mediaeval Bestiary Art Notebook

Koala, Mediaeval Bestiary Art Notebook High in the leafy canopy, a grey Koala peeks out from between eucalyptus leaves, gripping a branch with its round fuzzy ears and big black nose turned towards you. Green leaves frame it on every side. The scholar's entry calls it round eared and still, and its hold is a slow and certain thing. That sleepy charm of a treetop home shapes the whole design. A large gold drop cap on a patterned blue panel opens the name KOALA, with a red subtitle, of the Canopy Rise, set beneath it over a small black ornament. A short scholar's entry in old style lettering fills the left column, and a framed window on the right shows the grey Koala clinging to a branch among eucalyptus leaves. A small brown ink sketch of a paw print marks the lower left corner. Soft koala grey, eucalyptus green, and leaf gold fill a warm parchment tone page with burnt looking edges, framed by blue and red acanthus scrolls, red and gold blossoms, four perched songbirds, and thin gold rails. • Grey Koala clinging to a eucalyptus branch • Gold drop cap K, red subtitle of the Canopy Rise, and a short scholar's lore entry • Grey, eucalyptus green, and gold on a parchment tone page with a blue and red floral border • Part of the Mediaeval Bestiary Notebook Collection from Wild Realms
