La Serenissima Flag Poster
The flag of the Most Serene Republic of Venice or "La Serenissima" features in the middle the winged Lion of San Marco. The Latin text on the book says: "Pax tibi Marce, evangelista meus" or "Peace to you, Mark, my evangelist". Each of the tails of the flag represents a section of the city, which is divided in six parts called sixths or "setieri".
