I had such a great time making this piece. I am discovering that I just love to paint leaves. Leaves tend to turn out better than flowers do, for me. This piece is based on a different piece I painted with acrylic. The layout is pretty much the same-- the colours and illumination effects are way different. To tell the truth, I was listening to Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" pretty much on repeat when I painted this. I was trying to decompress from work stress. It worked!
