Leopard Geckos – Coat of Many Colours
In the wild, the leopard gecko's keen sense of smell and great eyesight help him find his dinner and his short little legs make him quick enough to catch it! Unlike some other geckos, leopard geckos do not have adhesive pads on their feet to allow them to cling to smooth vertical surfaces. In captivity, many morphs have been bred with lots of different colour patterns and size variations. Shown in this photo are a very colourful leopard gecko with lots of pattern to his skin and a nearly colourless leucistic leopard gecko.
