About This Design

McFly Shield Everything McFly Skateboard

McFly Shield Dead Centre and McFly Everything All Over With We Grind Around Here Player at Top End Skateboarding originated in California during the mid-20th century, primarily among surfers who wanted to practice their moves on land when the waves were flat, leading to the term "sidewalk surfing"; these early skateboards were often makeshift wooden boards with roller skate wheels attached, and the sport gained popularity as a way to mimic surfing movements on concrete surfaces like banks and ramps, eventually evolving into the modern skateboarding we know today with dedicated companies and competitions. Skateboarding is considered a "land-based surfing" activity, with surfers in California first attaching roller skate wheels to wooden boards to practice their moves when the ocean was calm. Due to its connection to surfing, the initial name for skateboarding was "sidewalk surfing". The first commercially available skateboards appeared in the late 1950s, often made from simple wooden boards with roller skate wheels. Evolution of the design: Over time, skateboard design improved with the development of better wheels, the addition of a "kicktail" for easier manoeuvres, and more specialised board shapes for different styles of skating. Rise in popularity and mainstream acceptance: Skateboarding gained wider recognition in the 1970s and 1980s, particularly with the emergence of professional competitions and the influence of skateboarding video games like "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" in the 1990s. Olympic inclusion: Skateboarding became an official Olympic sport at the 2020 Tokyo Games.

When ordering anything that is customised I always open the product with my eyes half shut... almost preempting that there's going to be something wrong somewhere. No matter how well you send artwork or how well the relationship goes online... there's always chance of an imperfection, or two. But this right here... ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. I am blown away by the quality of the work. Thank you and I will definitely be back again. Sam. As a designer I know how to prepare and send artwork. The print turned out perfectly... a high level of experience and knowledge on both sides.

The board itself is in great quality, not too dry wood, and the concavity is perfect. Unfortunately, the print ruins the product as a whole. I bought this as a birthday gift, but the surprise was ruined by the terrible print. It was embarrassing to give away, and it was not worth the money. I am really disappointed. I initially bought this board to hang on the wall, but because of the bad print, that is just impossible. It looks like the picture is way too small for the board, so the pixels is just smeared out. If the picture would be bid enough, the board would be great!

I cant speak for how it holds up as a fully assembled skateboard. But I've had quite a few decks in my life and this seems solid. I'm using it fro a Twin Peaks art project. So far, it has been perfect! very smallJust a few whit marks in the black parts, Nothing serious. Very small defects.
