David is a masterpiece[1][2] of Italian Renaissance sculpture, created from 1501 to 1504 by Michelangelo. 'David' was provided with a marble fig leaf in the early 16th century which was not removed until 1912. In this image the David is in front of the Palazzo Vecchio before 1873, with the fig leaf. The statue soon came to symbolise the defence of civil liberties ... perhaps, a symbol we could use today. The largest size I could make here is this one at 18" x 27" x 1.5". I made the border colour to match the fig leaf colour. You cannot see the detail in the eyes until you buy this size.
