Create your unique baby shower gifts for new moms with your ideas. I used the Shippoumon, a traditional Japanese auspicious pattern,as my design motif. This pattern is good for both boys and girls. “Shippou” refers to the “Seven Treasures” that appear in Buddhist scriptures: gold, silver, lapis lazuli, coral, crystal, agate, and mother-of-pearl. The pattern depicts interlocking circles symbolising wishes for fulfilment, harmony, and connections. Moreover, these connections are considered to hold equal value to the “Seven Treasures.” In Japan, this pattern is used in the design of auspicious kimono for celebratory occasions and in various celebratory items.
