Mongolian yurt canvas print

The painting depicts a Mongolian yurt, also known as a "ger", which is a traditional, portable dwelling used by nomads in Mongolia and Central Asia. The yurt is constructed of a wooden frame, covered with layers of wool felt, canvas, or other durable materials. It was designed to withstand the harsh Mongolian climate and be easy to dismantle and assemble, making it suitable for the nomadic lifestyle. About 30% of Mongolians still live as nomadic herders and use traditional yurts. The yurt's curved roof, called a "tonu," serves as a chimney for the stove, allows natural light in, and symbolizes the connection between the earth and the sky.
