Mother Of Dragons Comet & Eclipse Fleece Blanket

This design is on several products, which can be found in my 'Celestial Events' collection. The design itself was created to commemorate the total eclipse, but also the 'horned comet', which was more recently name "The mother of dragons" due to scientists believing it is the parent of the annual meteor shower "kappa-Draconids". So, I've taken the whole concept of the mother of dragons comet and the solar eclipse and incorporated it all in a beautiful scene, which makes these products ideal for remembering the day we all saw the eclipse and the comet. The design also makes for a good conversation piece, due to the fact that there may not be that many that actually know the story behind the Mother Of Dragons. The original name for the comet is 12P Pons-Brooks, but has had a few other names like "horned comet", "devils comet" and "green comet". Another fact that makes the comet even more eventful than the eclipse is that it only comes around every 71 years or so, whereas an eclipse can be seen every 10 or 20 years, so it really was a once in a lifetime event.
