Nature Study Tile c1872 Mintons Vintage Design

Fantastic printed tile, was bought to replace a missing tile in a set. Sits in with the originals although being slightly thinner I will have to pack it out to sit flush on my fireplace. Never thought I would ever be able to get my hands on a suitable replacement. As you can see in the 1st picture the replica is brighter but this was to be expected as the Minton Hollins ones have faded and cracked with age. The design is ever so slight different to the ones I have, I think it is taken from an 8" tile originally. The 6" version has less pattern on the edging and the butterfly is larger in the middle of the tile (see image). Small detail that might bother some, I'm just glad I have a full set of tiles, Great Job!

Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.
