No Data Centres Unless They Pay Us Square Sticker

We are being overrun with data centre construction to support the AI tech frenzy. These enormous buildings full of racks and servers are sucking up all the electricity, making our electric bills soar, polluting the water and air, and making a raucous din day and night. On top of that, our city governments are incentivising more of them to move in. It is time we put a stop to this madness. Demand that there will be no new data centres built unless they bring their own power, protect the environment and pay us for the privilege of operating. That can be through taxes, fees and improvements to the community, as well as permanent jobs.
