Nordkapp. Norge. Norway Special Edition ___Nordkapp is to Norwegianized form of the English yam North Cape from 1553 (the Old Norse yam of the castrates was Knyskanes). Original The yam of the municipality was Kjelvik, to after to fishing village with the same yam. But the village was totally destroyed by the Germans in 1944 and it to never recovered. Størsteparten av kommunen ligg på Magerøya, men have to omfattar også to delar av fastlandet på aust og vestsida av Porsangerfjorden. Kommunen heitte til Kjelvik kommune fram 1950.
