Olive Trees, by van Gogh Mouse Mat
Like many of van Gogh’s works, this was painted in 1889. Vincent van Gogh’s use of colour is interesting. Note the use of lavender when it comes to the ground beneath the trees and the mountains in the back. While van Gogh was a post-impressionist, there are factors of realism at work here. Olive trees do tend to have a bushy appearance, and some trunks do appear to be twisted. In viewing real olive trees, I was surprised at the realism aspect of this work. Buy as is or add text. I needed a mouse mat for my desk at home that would stay put and not take up much space. This does the job perfectly. The fabric on top is soft and the rubbery bit is nice and thick, which is comfortable on the hand and wrist. Exactly as expected. Print is crisp with no bleeding.
