Painted Dome, Baroque Chapel Interior Poster

The inside of a small baroque chapel in Mexico City, empty of people. A painted dome of cherubs and figures sits above a balustraded gallery, eight-pointed star windows glow around the drum, and a crystal chandelier hangs on a long chain over the centre. A gilded altarpiece stands at the far wall between two large framed paintings, with curved rows of wooden chairs on a warm parquet floor. The whole frame is built from warm browns and golds with cool blue only in the dome, so it hangs as a quiet, enclosed picture rather than a bright one. This listing uses the upright crop. Printed on semi-gloss poster paper, which keeps the colour saturated without the weight of canvas.
