Pantheon Oculus Symmetry Tiled Pattern T-Shirt

The Pantheon in Rome, Italy is a very interesting building - originally a pagan temple that later was converted to a Christian church. With it's huge dome and round shape, it is quite distinct in the Roman landscape, and inside, most of the light comes from the opening at the top of the dome, the oculus, the angle of sunlight cast down and emphasising a section of the wall, making the whole building act almost like a giant sundial. I believe this photo was taken my first or second visit to Rome. With a bit of Photoshop work, I turned it into a symmetrical tile that can be repeated and what i think is a very interesting pattern. I usually like making my symmetrical patterns from photos and paintings rather than digitally as it makes for more a more organic look, with a richness and variety both in colour and texture that it's hard to replicate digitally. Still, I think it's possible to make interesting ones digitally too - if done in the right way.
