An historic (and beautiful) note card by the award-winning artist Paul McGehee. An era was coming to an end...before long, the historic port of Georgetown would see the last of the great three- and four-masted coastal schooners in these, the twilight years of the age of sail. The 19th Century ended and took with it a way of life...the days remaining for commercial sail were few. "Old Georgetown On The Potomac" accurately captures every detail of the working waterfront and the town as it was in 1887...the University, the old Aqueduct Bridge, the Francis Scott Key house, and more. Artist Paul McGehee opens up a window to the past. Each card comes with envelope.
