Colourized photo from 1934 Original Title: Olliffe's Pharmacy looking west Location: 6 Bowery, New York, New York County, NY This was the oldest pharmacy in the US. Established in 1805, it lasted for a 177 years till 1982. The owners of the pharmacy hadn't a clue what most of these ingredients did. But they certainly had a lot of ingredients. There was once a time they even dispensed opium as a cure. You can almost get a sense that wizards once shopped here, just by counting the bottles on the wall.
