This photo was taken on a terraced hillside overlooking Phewa Lake in Pokhara, Nepal. It was an extremely hot, humid day, and the Himalayas looming over this scene were hidden by the pre-rainy season clouds. My friend and I were climbing the hill to a place called The Castle when we came upon people preparing a rice paddy for planting.
