Raphael Renaissance Angel Art Tile or Trivet

Raphael Renaissance Angel Art Tile or Trivet

Angel (fragment of the Baronci Altarpiece) 1500-01 The face of an angel as only Raphael could paint it. I love the composition and the purity of line. Rich palette of Renaissance red and green balanced with black and white. Especially treasured at Christmas time, elegant and tasteful all the year round. A beautiful decorative art tile -- or transform it into a framed trivet, gift box, cache box, jewellery box or treasure box. : Matching items and more are available in my gallery's Angels Collection (just click on the link that says "store" above the description About the original work of art: Artist: Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (Raphael) Title: Angel (fragment of the Baronci Altarpiece) Date: 1500-01 Period or Movement: Italian High Renaissance Medium and Support: Oil on wood, 31 x 27 cm Location: Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo, Brescia Notes: The altarpiece was badly damaged in the earthquake of 1789. Really nice image fixed to the tiles in my shower as a background to a soap dish. This was to hide the marks left by a broken soap dish. Just used tile adhesive and white grout. I think it looks good, almost like the drips are falling from the soap dish. No probs. Nice image.

My heart skipped a beat when I found this collection of Art Nouveau designs. I have created a fireplace where there was none. Amazing. The tiles were exactly as depicted
