"Red Midge" Wet Fly Fly-Fishing Poster
This image was taken from my original open edition lino print; which I printed in several colours. Many years ago, I taught myself to fly fish using books and videos. My casting was (and is) so bad that I had to teach my self to tie flies so I would have more to replace the ones I left in the trees. I'm not sure my tying and fishing skills have improved much but my love for the sport has certainly grown. It was only natural that I begin creating art related to the sport.
I have a true love - hate relationship with midges. When trout are taking them they are wonderful to have, but aging eyes and arthritic hands make tying the tiny flies and attaching them to a tippet really difficult. Drawing, painting or printing them in the studio is much more enjoyable! Except of course when the trout are going mad for them.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame.
This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again.
One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up.
Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font.
Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
