SAME SAME but different, Thailand Siam Humor Design inspired by a recent trip to Thailand. “Same, same but different” is an expression I heard a lot in Thailand Bangkok when I was backpacking. It can mean just about anything, but is especially used in attempts to sell you something. E.g: Q “Is this a real rolex?” A “Yes, same same but different”. It became such a popular expression that is part of the urban dictionary in cities around the world.
