A photograph of the Saybrook Breakwater Light in Connecticut. Saybrook Breakwater Light is a significant example of a prefabricated, cast-iron lighthouse built on a concrete foundation. This design was developed by the U.S. Lighthouse Board in 1873 as a less expensive alternative to masonry construction for the marking of submerged hazards. The materials, construction, architectural detail and interior finish at Saybrook Breakwater Light reflect the standardised design for this type of structure. This lighthouse is also significant for its role in the navigational aids system on coastal Connecticut, where it warns of shallow water at the mouth of the Connecticut River.

I like the design features on the website. They enable the fitting of a good quality Print to an existing frame. This Print was of excellent quality. I would buy again. One small gripe is that the image was not centred horizontally (about 3mm out) so needed trimming. No great hardship and may have been my fault in the setting-up. Next time, I would choose to set the text below the picture to a smaller font. Overall - Thank You! Looks good in its frame - Just as expected. I had a very expensive Gallery print of this before. It got damaged - hence the replacement. It compares very well.
