Seven Magic Mountains Magnet
Designed by Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, the seven magic mountains in the Jean Dry Lake bed in Nevada were meant to stay for only two years. Ten miles outside of Las Vegas, the project comprises seven towers of boulders, painted in bright colours, standing at over 30 feet high. It’s hoped that the public art installation, in the Mojave Desert, will remain in situ beyond its deadline of the end of 2018.
I took this photo while visiting Las Vegas in late 2017, and edited it using the Hipstamatic app.
