Skateboard

A skateboard is a type of sports equipment used primarily for skateboarding, a recreational and competitive activity in which individuals ride and perform tricks on a board with wheels. Skateboards are typically made of several components, including a deck, trucks, wheels, and bearings. The deck of a skateboard is the flat, board-like part that the rider stands on. Wheels are mounted on the trucks and are typically made of polyurethane. Skateboard wheels come in various sizes, hardness levels (measured in durometer), and shapes, depending on the type of riding and terrain. Bearings are small, metal components that are placed inside the wheels to allow them to spin freely. Skateboard bearings are rated using the ABEC scale, which indicates their precision and smoothness. Skateboards are used for a variety of purposes, including transportation, recreation, and sport. Skateboarding has evolved into a popular activity with its own culture, fashion, and community. Skaters often customise their boards with stickers, artwork, or grip tape designs to express their individuality and style.
