His mother was a stray, and she was so loveable I had to take her in. Traveller is one of four kittens. In this pic he's just two years old. His birthday falls on St Patrick's Day, March 17. House cats or domestic cats (Felis silvestris catus or Felis catus) have been associated with humans since ancient times. They are, famously, revered in Egyptian mythology, where it's thought that a cat sits in judgment after a person dies. In Japan, the lucky money cat is a well-known symbol. There are about 500 million cats in the world, and over seventy recognised breeds. Cats are among the most popular pets in the world.
