Small trout stream waterfalls watercolor. tile

This image is taken from my original watercolor painting of a small falls on Anglin"s Creek in central West Virginia. Nope, it's not a misspelling. The Creek was named after an early settler in the mountains of what was then Western Virginia. The lower end of Anglin's Creek used to be one of my favourite fly fishing areas. It was rough and steep and full of small holes and plunge pools. Most people preferred to fish the upper, much smoother sections and I could fish all day without seeing another human being. This small falls with it's plunge pool was a favourite spot. I often caught fish in both the upper, swifter flow and the calm end of the pool that the falls fell into. Above the falls it was almost always rainbows but in the calm end of the pool it was browns. That makes perfect since when you stop to think abut it.
