A camel is an even-toed ungulate bearing distinctive fatty deposits known as humps on its back. The average life expectancy of a camel is about 50 years. They can run about 40 mpg. Although camels are mostly found in Africa, there is fossil evidence that they actually evolved in North America during the Palaeogene period separated the continents. This illustration was inspired by the tobacco industry. I often wondered what a camel would really say if it smoked.
