A photograph of a rare sight, a Red-wing Blackbird. The endangered bird is perched high in a tree. It is Autumn and the trees have lost all their leaves. The sky is clear of clouds and is a soft light blue hue. Image Copyright ©2021 Kimberly J Tilley. The red-wing is going extinct because it's habitat is constantly being built on for shopping centres and housing complexes. Most wetlands are now just a little strip on the edge of restaurants, malls, homes, and seen as nothing more than a city culvert. And then the area suffers flooding because the natural water management was destroyed.
