Spanish Pointer Dog (by George Stubbs) Golf Balls

This design features a painting by the English artist George Stubbs (1724–1806), who became famous for his realistic depictions of animals. It shows a hunting dog searching for prey in a rural landscape with grassy fields and wooded patches of trees. It is believed that Stubbs imitated the Old Spanish Pointer painting by John Buckler. The Old Spanish Pointer is an extinct breed of dog originating in Spain, believed to be the ultimate ancestor of almost all pointing dogs. The Spanish courtier Alonso Martínez de Espinar described the breed as "a very hard-working animal, with an inexhaustible agility which endures running from morning to night without stopping."
