St. Thomas Aquinas, called the "Angeli Doctor" and the "Dumb Ox," for, variously, his brilliance as a teacher and his taciturn, lumpy quietude as a student, looms large (both spiritually and physically) in the world of mediaeval philosophy. He is patron of academics, book sellers, colleges, philosophers, and pencil-makers, and is invoked against storms. His feast day is on 28 January, or 7 March if you follow the 1962 Calendar. I needed a mouse mat for my desk at home that would stay put and not take up much space. This does the job perfectly. The fabric on top is soft and the rubbery bit is nice and thick, which is comfortable on the hand and wrist. Exactly as expected. Print is crisp with no bleeding.
