Woman, Life, Freedom! This is what people in Iran are now chanting in the streets during their protests against massive violations of women’s rights, corruption in all branches of government and autocratic laws and regulations. The demonstrations reignited on September 17th, when a 22-year-old girl named “Mahsa Amini” was arrested and beaten to death by the Islamic Republic Police solely for not having a proper hijab! Just like before, however, roars of people and protesters demanding their rights are being answered by nothing other than brutal repression and bloodshed. Nevertheless, the protests are limited to the streets and social media at this time too! So much so that the whole world has heard and echoed the voice of the Iranian people. Case in point, the hashtag #مهسا_امینی (#MahsaAmini) has now a record of being retweeted more than 400 million times on Twitter, proliferating still. For freedom! Since the beginning, many celebrities, activists and famous societies worldwide have supported the current movement in Iran. As a group of international game developers, we also strongly believe that, at this moment, nothing is more important than informing and reflecting the valid message of this historical event.
