Cold Hands Warm Heart is in tribute to my grandmother who is battling Alzheimer right now. I myself have suffered health issues that have landed me in the hospital during May 2015. I suffered from a hemiplegic migraine that left me paralysed on the left side. After spending five weeks in the hospital with countless hours of physical therapy, re-learning how to regain function and use my leg and arm again I was able to walk down the aisle at my wedding. After spending the year recovering from this traumatic event which still causes me trouble to this day, I reflected on many things that happened during the past two years and it has made it think about the all of the support I received from family and friends, the things and phrases said, and how to turn a negative situation that drains you emotionally, mentally and physically into a brighter moment even for only a brief second. So I created cards and gifts that lighten the mood out of an awkward tense situation. Laughter is always the best medicine and sometimes so is laughing at the reality of the situation (I have first hand knowledge of this).
