I am a 40 something mum of 3 neurodivergent young adults who has finally decided to take life by the horns and chase my lifelong dream of being a designer. I’ve always been creative and had a passion for colour and interior design and indeed, I started out at 17 years old on the pathway to a degree in Fine Art. Life, however, had other plans for me (as is so often the way of things) and I barely got to the end of my first year portfolio course when I fell in love and soon after discovered I was expecting my first child. So, as one does, I put my studies on the back burner and got on with the real business of raising my beautiful baby… lt got more and more difficult to think of going back to college, however and before I knew it, along came child no 2 and you can probably guess the rest. I’ve had a wonderful time being a full time mum to all 3 of my babies and, with all 3 of them being neurodivergent, I really believe it has helped them all, having me at home whenever they’ve needed me. However, now they’re all that bit more independent, I really feel it’s time for mum to have a go! If you like my designs, I’d love to hear from you!
