About
We adopted Dusty in 2011 after he was rescued from a huge puppy mill in Missouri that was so bad it had FINALLY been shut down by the Dept of Ag. He was so mentally broken that the rescue group had him for 6 months and was unable to find him a compatible home. WE blessedly turned out to be his forever home. He is still very skittish but is such a sweet, loving boy. We had one other dog when he came to us, and we now have Dusty plus 3. He loves the companionship of the other dogs, and he is very attached to both me and my husband, although he is a bit of a mama’s boy. 😊 He is a Lhasa Apso, who are usually fearless and independent by nature, but because of his puppy mill past, only exhibits these traits when he is in his “Happy Place” which is the back yard. This is where the pic is from, and as you can see, he is smiling and relaxed! Please proudly wear this shirt to spread awareness about puppy mills. I wear one almost every day, and I have found that it is a great conversation starter. There are still way too many people who are not aware of the horrors that these sweet fur babies endure in the puppy mills. Thank you! ❤️🙏😊
