About
I love pigs. I love art.
PIGART obviously naturally follows. I have been inspired by some incredible art from around the world. I met some very nice pigs too along with chickens and not so nice goats. I wanted to know more about both pigs and art. Could I combine them?
Lets start with pigs. These nice little pigs were so different than the "mad" pigs of my childhood knew from the neighbors farm. Real models. Now I know that my childhood pigs were kept in too small of a space and isolated visually and physically from others hence the "mad" part manifesting, Pigs are highly social and love affection and companionship. I am sad about it now.
I had to have pigs. What secret do pigs have that people have forgotten?
I made a plan and ordered babies a year before they were born. I studied and learned and I waited. When I finally got the call that the piggy stork had arrived I could hardly wait to get back to Walla Walla to see them. I had to wait 6 more months due to weather. They have been everything I was expecting and more. Bright, engaging and charming to say the least. I have found so much joy in learning about, watching, and interacting with these lovely and gentle creatures. They inspire me to get up and celebrate the day when they greet me with with soft snorts and chatter and of course the big happy grins they are so well known for. I found my joy in owning a Kune Kune pig and I hope to inspire you to find yours! Maybe not necessarily by purchasing a pig though... They really do need area to graze and roam. They are large and possibly dangerous and certainly noisy, so leave the pig here on the farm and buy a shirt or art piece instead. (keep your neighbors and wife too as a bonus) This will sponsor a pig for training at the Walla Walla Kune Kune Care Club. 1 item typically covers the cost of one pig for one ten minute training session and they must train daily for months.
