I ordered two of these as a gift of recognition for our basketball coach. It included all the names of the players he coached during his ten years. He was thrilled with it. The second copy is for one of the players. The copy had a flaw in it and I requested a replacement from Zazzle. They were happy to replace it and expedited it to me. I also have the actual issue of Spring 1942 Planet Stories. In typical SF pulp form, the scantily-clad gal is menaced by the tentacle, Bug Eyed Monster. While the space-suited, helmeted hero races to her rescue with his big ray gun. If you read "The Thing of Venus" & "The Last Martian" you are confused, as this scene isn't in either. It's a marketing ploy, to get a few other young men to buy the issue. My Women in Fiction English teacher once showed us a similar photo of a statue tableau. Of a white woman menaced by a Native American, being rescued by a musket-wielding frontiersman. The most-famous 1950's B movie version is Forbidden Planet's poster. Robbie the Robot is carrying a swooning Anne Francis. Oddly, Leslie Nielson is nowhere to be seen. I now have both the Forbidden Planet poster & this one in my living room.
