Summer Stroll PLAYING CARDS

Summer Stroll is a painting I created for our local fire department. It is in honour of my Grandpa who was a volunteer fireman most of his life. This is the bend in the road where my sister and I would wait for Grandpa to come home, safe and sound. Summer Stroll was the first large oil on canvas I painted. It took about a year and a half to finish. I wanted to do my best for the first responders who always do their best, in dangerous situations for people and some times animals, who are vulnerable. I wanted to give them a painting that expressed my appreciation. And make them something that they would enjoy and that would give them a sense of peace when they came back to the firehouse.
