the base of the pyramid of the sun is apparently same base measurements as the largest pyramid on the Giza plain, Egypt. To me, the pyramid complex at Teotihuacan is more impressive. I think its just western bias that we don't recognise the volume and size and grandiosity of the temples of the americas as larger, more complex and more prolific. there are still many yet undiscovered in the jungles or sands of the americas. the teotihuacaners are mysterious and really unknown beyond this complex of buildings north of mexico city.
