The Calling of Young Samuel Poster

This beautiful 19th-century style lithograph illustrates the biblical narrative from 1 Samuel 3. A young boy, Samuel, is depicted kneeling in humble prayer on a tiled floor, wearing a draped off-white linen robe. A dramatic, divine beam of celestial light shines down from the upper left corner, brightly illuminating his face and folded hands. On the left stands an intricately carved wooden altar adorned with a small golden cherub statue. In the background, nestled within a dark, curtained canopy bed, the elderly priest Eli rests peacefully. To the right, an ornate silver menorah holds glowing candles, casting a warm, reverent atmosphere over the sacred scene. The artwork features an antique, hand-tinted aesthetic with soft earth tones, golds, and muted browns, bordered by an elegant vintage frame.
