The Cartwheel Galaxy | MIRI | JWST Jigsaw Puzzle

This image from the Mid-Infrared Instrument (MIRI) of the JWST (James Webb Space Telescope) shows a group of galaxies including the Cartwheel Galaxy located approximately 500 million light-years away. This galaxy is made of an active outer ring full of star formations and a bright inner ring. Young stars in the outer ring are energising the hydrocarbon dust and making it glow orange. To the upper left is another galaxy with a large amount of star formation and bellow it a galaxy glowing blue. There's other galaxies scattered everywhere in the background.
