About This Design

The Fall of the House of Usher Poster

The Fall of the House of Usher Poster

A haunting interpretation of Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of the House of Usher, featuring a decaying Gothic mansion overlooking a dark, reflective lake. Bare trees, drifting mist and a pale moon surround the crumbling architecture, creating an atmosphere of isolation, melancholy and impending ruin. Monumental distressed typography emphasizes the words "Atmosphere of Sorrow", while a restrained palette of charcoal black, aged ivory and smoky grey reinforces the story's psychological darkness and architectural decay.
