Together We are One print

For all my original watercolor paintings in the shop, I use the 'limited palette'. Red, Yellow, Blue. This produces all the shades and hues you see in my paintings. Red, yellow and blue transparent watercolor in both warm and cool shades can be mixed to obtain any colour in the spectrum. I find there is more control over the final results. My artwork covers a wide range of subjects. I paint whimsically humourous, one-of-a-kind art to serious fine art. However, my passion is painting portraiture of animals and people. I love to capture the emotion of the moment. Both subjects have their own personalities. This makes the end result very challenging AND rewarding. My primary medium is watercolor. However, I also work with graphite, pen and alcohol inks, along with photography. I was inspired to paint this picture from a story written by Mayo Clinic physicians who stress that the Coronavirus Pandemic brought everyone together to work as a unit. The outer design represents the virus, the arms are protecting the centre which is full of hearts. I did this with my limited palette (red, yellow blue) watercolors.
