Kuroda Fujitomoe is a family crest of the Kuroda clan. The Kuroda family served the Kodera family, a powerful clan in Harima Province. Kuroda Mototaka, also known as Kuroda Jobouei or Kuroda Yoshitaka, was adopted by the Kodera family and later became a key figure in the unification of Japan under Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The Kodera family's crest, 'Fuji Tomoe,' is believed to be the origin of the 'Kuroda Fuji Tomoe' crest.
