TRISKEL MUG
The triskèle, also spelled triskell or triskel or also called triquètre or triscèle (of the Greek τρισκελης, “triskélès” which means with “three legs”) is a symbol representing three human legs (triskèle first type), or also of three intersected spirals (triskèle of the second type) or any other symbol with three protuberances evoking a symmetry of cyclic group. Although it appeared in various cultures and at various periods, it is regarded as an important characteristic of Celtic art at the time of Tène (second age of iron, 5th - 2rd front century J. - C.). One already finds it in the form of engraving on a large stone of the Neolithic tomb of Newgrange, on the site of Brú Na Bóinne, in Ireland.
