Moose are year-round residents in many Alaskan communities. Here in Anchorage there are about 1500 animals, along with wolves, brown bears and other wildlife.They are usually well-behaved. They often cross streets at the crosswalks after waiting for a walk signal. From a photo of a moose which wandered through my yard.
