Vintage illustration marine life design featuring a pod of narwhal whales swimming in the sea waves. Louis Sargent illustrator, from "My First Book of Animals" by Lena Dalkeith, c. 1918. The narwhal, or narwhale, is a toothed whale with a large "tusk" from a protruding canine tooth. It lives year round in the waters of the Arctic ocean.
