Vintage Ration Points - Bag
Richard F. Williams (Dick Williams) was born in Buffalo, New York in 1908. He had two successful careers, both in art. He was successful in commercial art for over twenty years. He then gradually switched to fine art, and for more than another twenty years he was known as a portrait artist and painter of landscapes.
This poster was commissioned during WWII by the “War Food Administration”, Washington, D.C. during the time when everyone had to buy products with ration coupons.
The woman in the picture is doing her part as she says, “Of course, I can! I’m patriotic as can be – ration points won’t bother me!”

A tote bag is a tote bag unless there’s something on it to make it special - and that is our logo. It’s made a perfectly lovely tote bag into an amazing walking piece of advertising! I can’t believe how well the printing came out as our logo is quite intricate. I am really impressed with this item and would highly recommend! x
